Digital and Analog Media

Mr. Christopher Cabrera

All of us consume ‘media’ in our everyday lives, whether we sit down with a good book or magazine or listen to music, watch television, or dive into a video game. This course looks at ways that different types of media have developed over time from analog technologies to the advent of the digital through informative online videos.

This course is structured in a nonlinear way, to give importance to questioning the “new” in the digital and the “old” that is attached to analog. Most importantly, students will be challenged to ask how the analog has made a comeback in a digital world and think more about how we consume media and why.
