Mr. Reginald Salonga: Time to Act Now


The Action in English: Raise Health and Environmental Awareness is a whole semester course created for students from the different faculties/schools of Nagoya City University. The main objectives of this course are to raise students’ awareness on health and environmental issues and to guide students in taking actions based on the targets and indicators of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The course offers comprehensive teaching-learning activities. The classroom time will be spent on collaborative learning and brainstorming on an original project or chosen volunteering project that could help in achieving solutions to health problems, problems affecting life on land and below water, and to climate change and its effects. In addition, students will be introduced to fieldwork for data collection. Moreover, the students should be able to give oral presentations, inside and outside classroom, of their completed project using different visual aids to people of all ages in order to encourage them to be responsible actors who can contribute in creating a more sustainable world.
